Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) is a minimally invasive transplant technique in which individual hair follicles are extracted from the donor area and transplanted into areas of thinning or hair loss. Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) involves removing a strip of scalp from the donor area and dissecting it into individual grafts for transplantation. FUT allows for a higher graft yield in a single session than FUE; making it the technique of choice for patients who need maximum coverage in one procedure. Dr. Cooley has performed FUT surgery for over 25 years and has developed technique refinements that minimize the appearance of the resulting linear scar.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy uses growth factors derived from your own blood to stimulate hair follicle activity and slow progressive hair loss. PRP is used at Cooley Hair Center as a standalone treatment for patients in the early to moderate stages of hair loss, and as an adjunct to surgical procedures to support graft survival and healing. Results are typically visible at three to six months.
Exosome therapy uses growth factor technology to promote hair follicle regeneration without surgery or injections.
